The New Orleans Pelicans are going to have to call in the big guns and bring everything they have. They are going to need Lonzo Ball to show out and have extra support from Brandon Ingram who netted 17 against the Jazz. The rest of the bench needs to show up because they were nonexistent last game. The Pelicans’ key player is Zion Williamson, who was charged up and led the team in points and rebounds totaling 32 points and 17 rebounds. He keeps putting up consistent and more importantly big numbers. Williamson is on his way to stardom, I would definitely watch out for him this game.

The Jazz is a train that can’t be stopped, and they seem like they don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. In the past 6 games, they look unbeatable and seem like a championship contender team. They are the favorites and I believe they are on their way to their 7th straight win. Unless Zion and Lonzo are able to take charge of the Pelicans, come out playing hard, and being able to keep up that energy and finish strong, the Pelicans’ will face another defeat. I have faith in Zion but he’s young and needs to keep their nerves in check during the last moments of playing time.

Golden State Warriors vs New York Nicks Preview

Another battle taking place tonight is between the Golden State Warriors (7-6) and the New York Knicks (7-8). Ranked 6^th in the east the Knicks are off to a better start this year, winning their last two games. Then you have the Warriors ranked 7^th in the western conference have had a rough start unlike years past. Although it was slow at the beginning of the season, The Warriors really picked it up after beating the Lakers. This game is going to be an exciting one for agents, bettors, and NBA fans. 

There has been talked of playoff contention for the Knicks due to them strengthening their defense. They also have been able to improve the offense, moving the ball with more passion which can help them hold their own against the best teams. Never thought there would be a day where the Knicks could be seen as a threat to the Warriors in the game. It all comes down to the Knicks’ new backbone, Julius Randle. The Warriors have been a steamroller in the NBA in the past, but with recent struggles, they haven’t been able to strike gold. However, they have made progress, and this is due to All-star Steph Curry and Draymond Green. Making smart plays on both sides of the court with ease Green has been more than clutch. Even though his numbers might not be high his actions on the court are enough to influence the game and the Warriors’ scoring ability. Players to watch are Oubre jr. , Andrew Wiggins, and Eric Paschall. But for the Warriors, the key player is Stephen Curry he’s been killing it as always with an average of 6.2 assists, 28.2 points, 5.2 rebounds. Curry is shooting 36.6% from the 3-point line and 44.0% from the field. The Knicks have a strong base but have a lot to fear with Curry & company all performing at a high level.

Prediction

The Warriors line up is hot so even if Steph Curry is off, the rest of the Warriors could pick up the slack to take down the Knicks. If this was 5 years ago, I’d say this game was a blowout, but now the Knicks might put up a good fight. At the end of the day, Golden State is the favorites and I’d take them due to the fact the Knicks still can’t keep up with the Warriors’ offense & that Golden State has been able to play defense and hang with the best while New York is shaky against the elite.
